The selection of dog breeds for family often confuses people. Most people visualize a dog with their kid and everything looks rosy until they bring an actual puppy home. People tend to select the breed on the basis of price or the sheer looks of the breed. However, that is not the ideal way to select a dog breed especially when you have kids at home.

It is to be understood that not all dog breeds gel well with kids. 5. Newfoundland - If you can keep up with a giant size dog which sheds and drools, a Newfoundland is the breed to go with. This breed is exceptional when it comes to love and patience towards kids and can easily become a great family dog.
